Speedy Desert:Expecting unexpected company? Buy a pound cake and put on a pot of coffee. Microwave 1/3 cup of your favorite flavor of grandma's preserves and 1 tablespoon lemon juice for a mere 20-40 seconds. Brush on warm cake and let stand until firm.
